ALLFIE’s vision is to create an inclusive society by ensuring inclusive education within mainstream settings for ALL Disabled people. We campaign for ‘a world where inclusive education is a right, not a struggle,’ and for Disabled pupils and students to be fully included in mainstream education, training, and apprenticeships, with all necessary support. We also create the resources that people and organisations need to advocate/campaign for inclusive education, training, and apprenticeships and to develop good inclusive practice.
Job purpose: The Social Media Co–Lead will ensure the smooth delivery of ALLFIE’s online and social media content, to increase understanding of, and engagement with, our inclusive education campaign work. This is a production role which will focus on growth and consistency across ALLFIE’s online and social media platforms, ensuring accessibility in text, visual and audio content.
As an organisation run by and for Disabled people, we are seeking to recruit a skilled and motivated Disabled person for this key role.

Role Summary
This exciting role will enable Alcohol Change UK to reach millions of people across the UK with key messages about alcohol and alcohol harm, delivered through print, online, and broadcast media engagement tactics. With a high level of existing press interest in our work and campaigns (including our flagship Dry January® campaign), this is an exciting moment as we look to develop our proactive media engagement and share reframed stories about alcohol which resonate with a huge audience. Your work will drive significant awareness of our organisation, and ultimately enable millions of people to transform their relationship with alcohol.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Media engagement

Manage the organisation’s media inbox and phone line, handling enquiries from journalists and providing responses in a timely manner

Provide regular out of hours media cover on a rota basis (scaling depending on busier campaign periods, shared fairly with others and TOIL provided for hours worked)

Develop public media statements and quotes across the whole spectrum of Alcohol Change UK’s work, issuing to press both reactively and proactively

Provide ongoing development of our key lines library, regularly reviewing responses we have on file for a range of topics

Support Alcohol Change UK spokespeople (Chief Executive, Directors and others) prepare for interviews: developing tailored briefings ahead of opportunities, providing a sounding board to rehearse key lines when required and giving feedback on appearances to support ongoing development

Manage our media database and reporting tools, providing regular condensed reports for the Director of Communications and Marketing/CEO/Board and develop insights-gathering to better inform our media engagement strategy

With the Director of Communications and Marketing, play a key role in media crisis management, escalating issues as appropriate, suggesting solutions and developing organisational responses to sensitive situations

Support the deployment of Alcohol Change UK voices, working closely with the Engagement Team to identify Community Champions, Ambassadors and others who are happy to be supported to share their experiences of alcohol and alcohol harm with the media
Developing a new proactive media strategy

Plan and deliver a new strategy for generating proactive media coverage, where Alcohol Change UK’s research, campaigns, parliamentary and wider activity connect with larger audiences in a strategic way

Working closely with teams across the organisation, craft compelling media plans and press releases to generate coverage of our work

Bring fresh energy to opportunity spotting, securing opinion pieces, expert comment, letters to editors and other ‘newsjacking’ content – particularly on ‘culture change’ topics such as sober shaming and stigma

Manage relationships with key journalists in our sector, exploring opportunities for partnerships and exclusives
Campaign media activity

Particularly for our flagship Dry January® campaign, and with the support of the Director of Communications and Marketing, develop media support briefs for external media agencies, when required

Develop fresh strategies and media angles for annual campaigns (Dry January®, Sober Spring, Alcohol Awareness Week) to keep activity engaging for public and returning audiences

Duties and Key relationships Marketing and Communications
This is a new role in the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for the media relations of the Charity.
PR and Media Relations
• To develop relevant media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.
• Produce creative copy written for a variety of audience groups which champions and shows best practice of our tone of voice
• Develop and support in house PR roll out

• Maintain the communications calendar

• Lead on gathering powerful stories that highlight the impact of childhood cancer on the lives of children, young people and families

Context of the role.
The successful candidate will be guided by the Communications & Fundraising Officer to communicate the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers and demonstrate the impact of Upbeat Communities to our supporters and followers, as well as to new audiences. About you

Key accountabilities and responsibilities

The role
As Digital and Social Media Executive, you’ll have a broad and varied role, working with our Marketing and Digital Manager to develop and implement our digital and social media strategy at a critical time for the Football Foundation and for grassroots sports. Working within the Brand, Marketing and Communications Team, you’ll manage and maintain all our digital and social media channels and support the Marketing and Digital Manager in briefing agencies to create engaging content for our channels.
You’ll work with the wider team to plan impactful campaigns, and deliver the digital and social media elements and any email/CRM campaigns. You’ll also produce campaign analysis reports, including your insight, analytics and recommendations. What are we looking for?

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £35,000 - £39,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

As our Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Manager and broader team in volunteer and school recruitment efforts, while managing our social media presence. Duties and responsibilities
• Responsibility for managing Action Tutoring’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube). Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. We help ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after surgery, and give them the confidence to return to a full life and take on fresh challenges. As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities.
